I love trance music, just as you do and I like listening to it. So I found some really good internet radio stations that play trance 24/7 and I'd like to share my knowledge wit you. This will be series of posts in which I will describe internet radio stations or sites where you can listen trance music for free. So, let's start with DI.FM!

DI.FM

Digitally Imported (DI or DI Radio) is an Internet radio broadcaster playing various types of electronic dance music such as trance, progressive techno, eurodance and house and more across 35 separate streaming channels. It was founded in 1999 as a hobby project by Ari Shohat and was one of the first internet radio stations. It has often been listed as one of the top electronic dance music radio stations online and was recently awarded Best Global Radio Station at the International Dance Music Awards in March 2010. What I personally like about is that it has three trance channels: Trance, Vocal Trance and Classic Trance, so everyone can choose what they want to hear more. Secondly, there are a lot of weekly DJ shows being aired on DI.FM trance channel, like, A State Of Trance with Armin van Buuren, Trance Around the World with Above and Beyond, Global DJ Broadcast with Markus Shulz and others. I'm looking forward to all of them and try to listen to as many as I can :) For information when they are aired go here.

Channels are free to listen, but there's a premium version. DI.FM site says, that Premium has better sound quality and is commercial-free. I don't know if it's worth the money (I use the free version), but free channels are good to listen, commercials are aired once in an hour for about 2-3 minutes, so they aren't annoying :)

All in all, I would say that it's probably the best internet radio station for listening trance music, because of variety of music and weekly DJ shows that are aired every week and listened by many trance lovers all around the world! One minus though, they don't air Tiesto's weekly show "Club Life", you gotta find Radio 538 for that :)

So, this is it, go ahead and try out the DI.FM station - you won't be disappointed.
